TV EXPERIENCE

I worked as a cameraman / interviewer for the ITV local Brighton branch. ITV local was a subsidiary service of ITV which ran from 2005-2009. I covered various events at the latter end of this period before it was subsumed back into itv.com due to budgetary reasons. The highlight of this work was interviewing Dame Vera Lynn on Rememberance day. It was very moving, especially filming her singing with the few remaining WW2 veteran soldiers (“my boys” as she called them). My piece made the South East regional evening news.

My other TV work was for Brighton based Latest TV, an independent TV station launched in 2012. I was one of their editors, working closely with their programme scheduler, studio manager and journalists. I edited footage to be broadcast complaint which meant very strict timing and adherence to OFCOM rules and regulations. This included news pieces, documentaries (including exclusive Ukrainian war reporting, a lot of which needed censoring) and various studio and location interviews. Some of my own studio interviews are below.

TV INTERVIEWS

My interview for Latest TV, Brighton with Peter De Wolf, ITV location manager who was working on the Peter James’ hit TV series Grace.

I talk to Kelly Mikulla, founder of the Sussex Film Office in 2016, about her work and what services the office provides to film makers and producers.

Ex-boxer, author and Brighton character Stevie Martin came into the Latest TV studio to discuss his latest book and have a good old banter.
