DRAINED

Based on a short story by AL Kidd, Drained is a story of a troubled tenant in an apartment building. He is riven with childhood fears, crippled with debt and anxiety and has unwittingly moved into block with a dark secret lurking in the bowels of the building. It’s an unusual urban drama which sits somewhere between horror and farce, drawing on cult influences, paranoia, the desire to be accepted and fit into society. Currently being adapted with the writer Anita Reid for development into a short.

PYTOR THE GREAT

A hackneyed, wearied and nearly obsolete Russian spy is sent on one last mission to redeem himself (and spare his life from the wrath of his Director General). He ends up shadowing a Russian lady in a small town on the South Coast of England. The trouble is, he’s not very good at it and she is aware of his every move. He gives up his quest and becomes resigned to his inevitable grim fate. However, a very odd situation occurs which changes everything.  A farcical, bawdy and unusual comedy.

FLIP

An indecisive and fraught young man is frantically searching the ground of a station car park at night. Eventually he goes across to someone smoking outside the station asking for a coin. The man doesn’t have one. Another group of smokers outside the station become involved. They end up discussing fate, destiny and choice. Things become provocative and strange leading to upset in the group and subsequent drama. Based on a true incident that happened to me outside Lewes Station in Sussex.
